Found out after finishing that WotL is primarily based on the Japanese original.Made me realize how good a job they did with these scenes in the original. The old speed was just right and now at double speed it took away from the scenes. Most notably, cutscenes are rendered in the battle engine with tons of custom animations. Of course, this led to fat fingerings or difficulty getting a tile from behind an obstacle. No D-pad that I ever saw so I had to select tiles with my finger. This version had some changes from the PS1 version I didn’t like. Going to start this post with some negatives. Agrias laying the smackdown on some poor monster
